At present, the most popular product in the industry is the iron box screen. The light screen weighs more than 50 kilograms per square meter. Add in the weight of the steel structure, and the whole thing is very heavy. Even for a small and medium-sized project of tens of square meters, the total weight must be measured in tons. In this way, many floor-to-ceiling buildings cannot bear such heavy attachments, and the load-bearing balance of the building and the pressure on the foundation are not easy to accept. However, LED electronic displays are all large screens and require many points to be composed. Take the outdoor P16 display as an example: there are 3906 points per square meter, and one point has three RGB lights. The power consumption calculation formula for one square meter is 3906 (points) × 3 (lights) × 0.02 (A) × 5(V)=1172W (maximum power consumption, calculated based on the entire screen). Outdoor screens are at least tens of square meters or even hundreds of square meters, so the total power consumption is very large. Therefore, reducing the power consumption of LED displays and achieving true energy saving is an important development direction of LED displays.

If the LED electronic display screen is installed on the top of a high-rise building, ventilation is very important. The greater the ventilation rate, the smaller the wind resistance, the stronger the wind resistance, and the greater the protection of the product. If the LED display screen is installed on the side of a high-rise building, then the product can transmit light and will not affect the indoor lighting. Judging from the current status of global LED patents, in terms of technology, LED has the characteristics of high technical bottlenecks but low entry barriers. The initial investment is not large and the capital threshold is not high. In order to maintain technological competitiveness and reduce the risk of technology spillover, patents are a better way of protection. The patent barrier is the main means for early entrants to avoid competition. Therefore, patents have become an important issue that cannot be avoided in the development process of the LED industry. However, the entire industry currently does not pay much attention to it. After the LED display industry started, it basically did not undergo adjustment and development, and entered the stage of fierce competition. Everyone was busy competing for the market and expanding the scale, and almost no energy was spent on product research and development, and knowledge was not taken into account. Property rights protection, some new technologies are not maintained by applying for patents in time. As the industry slowly matures and becomes standardized, protecting one's intellectual property and intangible assets by applying for patents is also the inevitable development direction of the LED electronic display industry.

Fifth, LED display screens are developing towards standardization

At the beginning of this century, huge market demand caused LED electronic display companies to spring up. Almost overnight, thousands of LED display companies appeared in the magical land of Shenzhen. When a new enterprise is established, it must immediately have products to display and sell.

Independent research and development of new products involves high investment and slow speed, so everyone is trying to take shortcuts, design hastily, and copy each other, which has become a common problem at this stage of the industry. Not only are the products of different companies different in appearance, size, mounting hole positions, etc., but even their own internal products are also uneven. Many of the mounting fixing plates, hole positions, and screw specifications of the same type of products are not the same. This is a problem for parts. Procurement, material preparation, after-sales service, etc. all cause great inconvenience. Therefore, the standardization of LED electronic display products is also an inevitable trend.

Sixth, LED display screens are developing towards fast and precise splicing.

This is mainly for LED rental displays. The characteristic of leasing is that it is often disassembled and assembled to meet temporary needs, so the display cabinets must be able to be spliced quickly and accurately. Just like an outdoor temporary concert, you need to rent a background display screen of about 50 square meters, and the decision to use a display screen may be made at the venue and installed two days before the concert starts. In this case, if the product cannot be spliced quickly and accurately, it will not be able to meet the requirements of the site.
